Handelsföreningen är en allmännyttig ideell förening som lämnar ekonomiskt stöd till individer, utbildning och forskning. Vi stöder näringslivets intressen och är en samlings-plats för det lokala näringslivet. Föreningen har ända från starten 1847 haft ett starkt engagemang för Helsingborg och regionen.
Studiestipendier 2021
The donation consists of SEK 750,000 from each party. The funds will be used to employ a postdoctoral fellow for two years.
– Helsingborgs näringsliv är starkt dominerat av handel och logistik vilket gör att forskning och utveckling inom detta är högaktuellt. Forskartjänsten kommer att stärka Campus Helsingborgs forskningsplattform inom området och genom tillämpning gagna det lokala näringslivets utveckling, inte minst genom att kunna bidra med spets inom artificiell intelligens, säger Peter Danielsson (M), kommunstyrelsens ordförande i Helsingborg.
Helsingborgs stad och Campus Helsingborg, Lunds Universitet, har haft ett framgångsrikt samarbete sen Campus Helsingborg bildades 2000. I mars 2020 upprättades i samma anda ett samverkansavtal som gäller fyra år framåt. Syftet är att utveckla Helsingborg som universitetsstad.
– I detta samarbete finns tydliga målbilder som bland andra handlar om att stödja strategiska satsningar, utveckla regional samverkan med näringsliv och samhälle, att utveckla Campus fysiska och digitala plattformar för gränsöverskridande samverkan samt att öka tvärvetenskaplig och högkvalitativ utbildning, forskning och innovation. Jubileumsbidraget går helt i linje med den målbilden, säger Annette Melander Berg, näringslivsdirektör i Helsingborgs stad.
– Campus means that we have one of the world’s 100 leading universities in central Helsingborg. Together with the proximity to companies and the strong anchoring of research in the local business community, it makes the place unique in Sweden and perhaps also in Europe. The business community through the Trade Association has for a long time made significant investments in research at Campus and we see great value in continuing to be involved in developing the business. We are happy to be able to contribute together with the city also in connection with the anniversary, says Sven Rosenkvist, CEO of Helsingborgs Handelsförening.
– We could not get a better gift. We know that cross-border collaborations help to find solutions to the major issues of the future. This is a perfect example of how Campus Helsingborg can apply research in close collaboration between the city, the Trade Association, the business community and other organizations. The application of artificial intelligence in trade and logistics is a good example of an area where we as a university have a lot to contribute, knowledge that will now be further deepened. Campus Helsingborg’s anniversary will be celebrated in November this year. The research grant is handed over in connection with the official anniversary celebration.
